A brief post about a show that I saw and which I’ll be seeing a repeat performance of.
John Goldsby was back in town for the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshop, and was reuniting his trio for a couple shows at Louisville’s Nachbar, a nifty little Germantown neighborhood tavern. With Goldsby on upright bass, he was joined by Louisville residents Jason Tiemann on drums and Jacob Duncan on sax (also sitting in were guitar and trombone, the names I have yet to confirm). This trio has recorded a couple fine albums together, including one right here at the Nachbar.
You can read about this show and get information on the next (same time, same place) on my sister site Notes From The Holler.
If you’re in or near Louisville, KY on 7/11/12, I highly recommend checking the show out. Feel free to stop by and said ‘hi’ if you do. You can either check out my picture on my eMusic profile page, or if you know who Cameron Frye is, you’ll have no trouble picking me out of the crowd.
P.S. You can stream that Live at the Nachbar album, and purchase it, on Goldsby’s bandcamp page. Available both as a download and as a physical CD.
