I found a video of a guy rapping over Bill Frisell’s “Coffaro’s Theme,” god bless him…

Bill Frisell - "Quartet"One of my all time favorite albums is Bill Frisell‘s 1996 release, Quartet.  Featuring his guitar and effects, Ron Miles on trumpet, Curtis Fowlkes on trombone and Eyvind Kang on violin and tuba, it’s an album with a dark sense of humor and heartbreaking, delicate beauty.  One day I’m going to make a very blog-y post about Quartet, but for now…

I found a video of a guy rapping over the album’s closing song, “Coffaro’s Theme.”  He goes by the moniker 4real.  His Reverbnation page (LINK) says he hails from Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada.  I don’t know that I’d give his freestyle skills high marks, but his score gets a huge boost in the “great taste in music” category.  This video seriously cheered me up.  Thanks, man, whoever you are.

Everybody have a great start to your weekend.

Peace.
