Steve Hudson Ensemble – “Be With Me”

Here’s a video from a performance by the Steve Hudson Ensemble.  I originally became familiar with Hudson’s music when he made an unsolicited submission to the AllAboutJazz download of the day feature.  I immediately took to the music, and put his name on one of my many and varied lists.  And now, months later, and with some new videos and news of a 2013 release, I’m following up on that initial interest, and will begin presenting some of Hudson’s music on my site over the next couple months.

We begin, today, with the below video.

It was taken at a June 2012 concert at the Rubin Museum of Art in NYC).  The song “Be with Me,” Hudson explained to me in an email, is part of a group of new compositions that he is preparing for a new album to be released in the second half of 2013.

Your video personnel:  Steve Hudson (piano), Zach Brock (violin), Christopher Hoffman (cello), and Martin Urbach (cajon).

Have a great Sunday!
