Preview “I Try To Remember Where I Come From,” the upcoming release from Jonah Parzen-Johnson

 

Saxophonist Jonah Parzen-Johnson has a new album on the horizon.  The baritone specialist continues his exploration of solo saxophone performance accompanied by analog synth.  It’s an odd sound, not unappealing, with moments of striking poignancy, and is sometimes reminiscent of an avant-garde rendition of a John Carpenter soundtrack.  I Try To Remember Where I Come From is getting released July 7, 2017 on Clean Feed Records.
